Download Ad-aware

This is a spyware removal utility. With its ability to scan your RAM, Registry, hard drives, and external storage devices for known data mining, advertising, and tracking components, Ad-aware can easily rid your system of these tracking components, allowing you to maintain a higher degree of privacy while you surf the Web. It features a wizard-style interface that will guide you through the scanning and removal process.

1. Launch INTERNET EXPLORER

2. Go to www.tucows.com Click on Download

3. When Prompted to Save or Open - Click OPEN

* Place a check mark beside ‘Close this dialog box when

download completes’.

4. After downloading is complete, installation will begin

automatically (see next page).

Installing Ad-aware

1. DOUBLE CLICK ‘aaw6’ icon (on desktop)

Click NEXT

*Welcome – Setup screen

*Liscense Agreement

*Program Destination Location

Click NEXT

*To start installation

*Installation complete

A. To delete installation icon from desktop –

1. RIGHT CLICK on icon

2. Choose DELETE

3. Answer YES to confirm the deletion

B. To create an icon for Ad-aware on the desktop –

1. Go to START

then PROGRAMS

select LAVASOFT AD- AWARE 6

2, RIGHT CLICK Ad-aware 6

3. Select SEND TO

choose DESKTOP (create shortcut)

4. Shortcut will be placed on desktop
